Calligraphy Workshop: The ‘Last Hurrah’ Before School

Just wanted to make a quick post about what I’ve been up to.

School just started (for me) a few days ago and I’m happy. While staying at home is nice and all, there’s just this sense of peace and achievement within me whenever I go to class or complete a task. For my “last hurrah” before school started, I attended a watercolor pencil calligraphy workshop (courtesy of Faber Castell) last week with my cousin.

The funny thing is that it’s supposedly for mothers only (as a treat/celebration for mother’s day). My aunt (who is a mother) signed up so I decided to sign up as well (well, technically I can be called the mother of my two dogs heehee).Β Anyways, my aunt couldn’t go last minute so my cousin stepped in for her.

My cousin, Trixie!

As you can see, MOMS EVERYWHERE. The photo is blurry because they all started looking at me and I felt shy HAHA.

My 19th Birthday!

Last week, on the tenth of February, I finally turned 19. It was such a bittersweet feeling because this would be my last year where I’d have a “1” at the beginning of my age. I’m starting to feel my age catch up to me – before I know it, I’ll be 20 already (which feels really weird since I feel like I’m 17, I probably look 16, but I’m already 19?!)

My cute (and really delicious) birthday cake baked by my aunt! (Thank you, Diko!)

On my actual birthdate, I didn’t really do much but stay at home and have a quiet day with my family. We had the clichΓ© Filipino birthday party food of spaghetti and fried chicken (courtesy of Amber’s HAHA).
